Hi,
our network guys are wanting to lock down what IP's our nagios server can talk to on the internet, but from what i can see the update checker talks to a few different IP's
am i able to get a list of all the IP's the check for updates / downloading updates system uses?
thanks
Nagios XI update IP's
Re: Nagios XI update IP's
Nagios XI "talks" to assets.nagios.com, api.nagios.com, and maybe repo.nagios.com.
Have you tried disabling the "automatic" check for updates? Go to Admin > System Settings, clear the "Automatically Check for Updates" check-box under the "General" tab, and click on "Update Settings".

Re: Nagios XI update IP's
Hey,
thanks for that.... I don't want to disable the automatic checking for updates, I just need to give them the IP's involved so they can allow them
assets.nagios.com and the others from what I see goto multiple IP's so is there a way I can get the list they goto?

Re: Nagios XI update IP's
There should be only 2 IPs that Nagios "talks" to...
for assets.nagios.com and repo.nagios.com
andfor api.nagios.com.
Did you mean a "couple of IPs" when you said "multiple IP's"? Do you see any other IPs besides these two?
Code: Select all
