Disable Monitoring Engine through API or CURL CLI

Dear Customer Support,

We would like to integrate stop/start of monitoring services in NagiosXI into internal workflows

Is there a way on NagiosXI version 5.4.13 to stop/start the service through API or CURL CLI?

This functionality is not available yet, but it will be in Nagios XI 5.5. You will be able to send various system and core commands via the REST API, including nagios stop/start/restart/reload, etc.
