how to monitor AIX, HP servers

what plugin should i use to monitor the mountpoint usage, cpu/memory usage and other parameters for a AIX, HP servers....
i used the check_disk plugin but it checks the mountpoint usage on the nagios server...

I'm using nrpe with check_disk on aix with no problems.

I think nrpe might be your missing piece of the puzzle.

I would suggest browsing through the Nagios Exchange and looking for a plugin that would fit your company's needs.

will these work on any AIX server or is therre a AIX version limitation...
we have AIX 6.1

Honestly, it is going to depend on the plugin. While a vast resource, most of the plugins that are contributed to the Exchange come from 3rd parties and just simply need to be tested on your platform from the commandline to make sure you get the desired results.

agreed...
can you atleast let me know if the nrpe agent that you told me to install would work on 6.1 aix as well i.e it is version independent

We have both, the NRPE AIX agent and a Wizard developed (AIX 6.1 is supported). They are not "production ready", yet but will be soon.
