Apply configuration not working .

Post by radhika »

Hi Team ,

Kindly guide , the apply configuration is not working for my nagios XI . its throwing back a error for a service that is not in monitoring currently.

Steps taken to solve.
1.Tried restoring the last last snapshort .
2.Tried delete the file , write it following up verify and restarting nagios core services from console .
3.Check on the server end , and killed and restarted nagios services .
4.Tried repairing the db services .

Still getting the error , let me know what else i can do to resolve it .
"Error: Could not find any host matching 'lpdverp05.kc1.broadcom.net' (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/services/lpdverp05.kc1.broadcom.net.cfg', starting on line 168)
Error: Failed to expand host list 'lpdverp05.kc1.broadcom.net' for service 'Swap Usage' (/usr/local/nagios/etc/services/lpdverp05.kc1.broadcom.net.cfg:168)"

Hello, @radhika.

In XI web interface please go to Configure -> Core Configurations Manager, then click on Tools -> Config File Management in the left column. Then perform the following actions in order:
1)Write
2)Delete
3)Write
4)Verify

Right after that please copy and upload the following file(do not click on the Apply Configuration):

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagios/etc/services/lpdverp05.kc1.broadcom.net.cfg

First - Do you expect Nagios should be monitoring lpdverp05.kc1.broadcom.net ?

Can you go to Configure -> CCM -> Hosts - lpdverp05.kc1.broadcom.net
Can you verify that the host exists, and also that it is marked "Active"?

If you have a support contract I would recommend opening a ticket for faster resolution
