I'm working to reproduce teh error now but wanted to pass this link along to help download a new database(including on CentOS 7):

https://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/legacy/install/city/

I had to take the additional step of creating the destination directory:

mkdir /usr/local/share/GeoIP/
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.
