Hi,
I did an upgrade to 5.5, and the upgrade said it failed. I refreshed the page and after that I noticed, that there is noupgrade log for this one in the XI UI.
I also noticed that in "/usr/local/nagiosxi/tmp/nagiosxi" there is a lot of files (as well as in the "/usr/local/nagiosxi/tmp").
The upgrade.log file was empty.
I found this https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... 08#p255370 and modified the upgrade script and re-run it from the console, which - in short - said that everything is ok and I'm up to date.
The system looks ok, but I need to know what went wrong and if we are ok for sure.
Upgrade to 5.5 - issues
Re: Upgrade to 5.5 - issues
Most probably the upgrade script was hanging at "Updating NRDP..", which could happen if you uninstalled (didn't have) Ajaxterm. Commenting out the section that references Ajaxterm in the upgrade script fixes the issue (as described in the post you found). Your system should be ok.

Re: Upgrade to 5.5 - issues
OK, but what to do to clean up the mess?
Is this directory safe to clean up? -> "/usr/local/nagiosxi/tmp/

Re: Upgrade to 5.5 - issues
It is safe to remove things from the "/usr/local/nagiosxi/tmp/" directory.
