Update host "is_active" through REST API?

Using the REST API in Nagios XI 5.4.9, is it possible to set a host to "is_active" : "0" and then set it back to active later, again using the REST API? I have seen a few items asking about updating hosts and/or services through the REST API without needing to delete and re-add them. I am looking for a fairly definitive answer. I can try it and see if it works, but if this is not actually supported then it's a problem.

Currently, you cannot activate/deactivate hosts/services via REST API. I filed an internal feature request for adding this functionality. Thank you!
