After upgrading to 5.5, Bulk Host Cloning and Import failed while trying to apply.
A quick look at the hosts and services entries show that new entries for host and services were added but they are completely empty so the application failed.
Do we have a workaround or a fix for this?
Thanks,

Re: Bulk Host Cloning and Import stop working after going to
I have encountered this before in previous versions.
Most of them related to the import file missing items like host_template or service_template.
You should attach the file you are trying to import to identify the root cause.

Re: Bulk Host Cloning and Import stop working after going to
Doing some investigation we did discover a change that could make this happen. This will be a 1 time fix.
Remove the blank host and services from your import
In the CCM -> Tools -> Config File Management
Click Delete Files
Write Configs
Verify Files
If all is Blue, Got to Apply Configuration
Now the import should work successfully.
There is a slight variant in how the configs are written in 5.5 and if you had txt configs from pre-5.5 (because they only normally upgrade on change), then it would fail.

Great to hear! Did you have further (related) questions or are we good to lock this up?
