We've been using Nagios since 2009 and are satisfied with it. However there is a great need to integrate it with our service management processes like incident management, change management etc. I've seen some plugins for some service desks on the nagios exchange site. We got some risk experts to do a risk assessment on our IT and one of the issues they raised was that Nagios is open source and does not support ITIL. I challenged them with the evidence of the large enterprises using Nagios and they still insist that their report stresses that it is not ITIL complaint.
Is there a plan to eventually make NagiosXI ITIL complaint?
