Hardware Config advice for seperate MySQL DB

Post by sujitt »

I am planning to migrate the MySQLDB on to a seperate server. currently I am running on a 2 cpu 64bit with 8GB RAM and 300GB disk.

We have around 600 Active Services and 4000 Passive services and 200 hosts.
running on Nagios XI Version : 5.4.13
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.5 (Maipo). With NagiosXI and MYSQL on same server.

What would be the right Hardware requirements for the MYSQLServer alone? if I am seperating it.

I would recommend the following as a minimum

2-4 cpu with 8GB RAM and a fast disk, e.g. SSD

Thanks, please close the case. Please provide the Sizing matrix for seperating MYSQL DB in the seperating the Database document.

Thanks
