Nagios opsscreen

Post by benhank »

Does nagios log what it has displayed on the operations screen?
That is the /home/quick view/operations screen.
Now let me clarify what I mean.
real life scenario here guys:
A entire site goes down. Nagios send emails to the affected personel.
The Datacenter operator says Nagios never displayed anything onto the opsscreen so they had no clue that this outage , which began at 2 am and lasted till 4am..cough cough.
So I want to know if there is a way that I can show that nagios did indeed display this event onto the opscreen
like an opscreen log or something?

We don't record what is displayed on the screen anywhere, but you can see what happened in the logs.

One thing of note would be what is selected in the links on the lower right, is do the links for them show "Hide Soft Sate" or Sow Soft State" or "Hide Handled" or Show Handled"

If the items were set to not set, it would not display some items.
