Checking NRPE SSL Cert expiration

Post by spcmidrange »

Good Day

We are in the process of setting up SSL encrypted traffic for our checks and its working good so far. Now the problem i see is when the certs start expiring in a year. What does anyone do to monitor the SSL expiration dates on the client? Are you using another ssl check from nagios exchange, or is there something built into an existing command I'm not seeing?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

In case anyone cares, i used https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/P ... rt/details to check the SSL cert. This check will let you specify a file to check rather than trying to just check it via HTTP.

Cheers!

Thanks for the update and link to the plugin! I'm sure others will find it helpful in the future. Are we okay to close this thread and mark it as resolved or do you have any other related questions?

Nope you can go ahead and close it. It was more trying to see what other customers were using for this type of check

Thanks!
