Service check timed out after 60.01 seconds in Nagios XI

Hi,

Much appreciated, if anyone tell me all the possible reasons to get the below error in Nagios XI?

(Service check timed out after 60.01 seconds)

This means that nagios executed the plugin but didn't get a complete response before the 60 seconds timeout was reached. at 60.01 it returns this and ends execution of the plugin.

It depends on the plugin you are using. You would need to determine why the remote system wasn't responding in the appropriate time, it could be that the service being queried wasn't working, or the server was down.
