Query about NagiosXI upgrade using repo

I have installed NagiosXI using ( https://repo.nagios.com/?repo=rpm-rhel ) and yum install nagiosxi

What steps need to be taken in order to upgrade NagiosXI using repo ?

Will there be any loss of data ?
