Nagios XI has NagVis pre-installed

The following should be set in the "Manage Backend" section

The nagiosxi backend was added in Nagios XI 5.5

ndomy_1 would be the correct default for previous versions

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any map templates for NagVis. The documentation mentions only context, header & hover templates - http://docs.nagvis.org/1.9/en_US/index.html.

If you needed help with creating maps in NagVis, you could probably watch the video below to get started:

Hope this helps.

where to get templates and I have copied one template to /usr/loca/nagvis/share/userlist/templates/ and I don't see its reflecting from nagvis web console. and how to change background color. Its becoming very tough to create dashboards with proper documentation

You can change the background color of a map in the GUI by going to Edit Map > Map Options > Appearance > background_color=selected, choosing a color from the color pallet, and clicking on "Save".

...I have copied one template to /usr/loca/nagvis/share/userlist/templates/ and I don't see its reflecting from nagvis web console...
Can you elaborate on this? Where do you expect to see your "custom" template in the GUI? Do you see any of the other ("default") templates from the "/usr/local/nagvis/share/userfiles/templates" directory in the GUI?

Note: I would like to point out that we do support NagVis integration, and will do our best to help you with any NagVis issues that you may be having. However, keep in mind that NagVis is not our product, and sometimes it would be wise to post your questions on the NagVis support forum as well, especially if you are dealing with some customizations, e.g. map templates, etc.
