Server maintenance and stability

Post by uma K »

Hi,
Currently my system is configured on an 4 node cluster. Often my system space gets filled. Please suggest the required resources for the system stability

memory: 64GB each server
CPU: 2
Disk space: 1.5TB each server

water mark level is marked to 90%. system reaches water mark level every 8 days. Currently the data is being stored for 45 days.

Currently the configuration is set to close indices after 45 days but to keep 60 so the machine is holding on to 15 days worth of closed indices that could be skewing the initial sizing calculations. If you intend to keep a full 60 days, I would up the size of the drives to 1.75 at least. Otherwise if you reconfigure to remove indices older than 45 days, the current disks look adequate.

The requirement for me is to store 90 days of data and close index after 45 days.
Could you please suggest me for the space required and the resources?

There are 60 days worth of indices on the NLS server. You can lower this value if you want to save space, otherwise I would recommend upping the size of drives to 1.75GB.
