Hi @bosecorp

Have you adjusted your php settings to handle larger environments? I would recommend increasing the values for memory_limt ( = 1024M ) and max_input_vars ( = 10000 ) in the etc/php.ini file.

restarted httpd after the changes

but I still few takes a lot to load. Takes about good solid 10 seconds. sometimes more

My understanding is that adjusting the php settings did help, but it's taking about 10 seconds to load. Are you still getting errors? If so, please send us a system profile and we can review it.

There are a few other things to consider to optimize performance. For example, how many checks are you running and how often? Reducing the number of non-crtical checks will free up resources. Also, installing a RAM disk will help speed up disk I/O.

Hi,

Thanks for sending over the profile, and I have a few suggestions for performance improvements.

1. I did notice a "Too Many connections" in the error_log, and I would suggest increasing the max_connections=1000 in your database configuration file. We have a knowledge base article on how to do this at:

2. Since you are running a large sysetm, you can make a few changes to the UI settings to reduce overhead, go to Admin > Performance Settings > Page Settings and select Unified Pages for Tactical Overview, Hostgroup Screens and Servicegroup Screens. Aslo increase the default Dashlet Refresh Multiplier to 2000.

3. Regarding the php warnings above, there was some code looking at configuration data that was not set, and a warning was being logged. I've attached a patch ( BpGroup_Class.php) if you'd like to update or you could wait until the next maintenance release. If you do decide to update, make a backup your system and backup the file you are replacing. It's located here: (/usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/components/nagiosbpi).
