Nagios GUI performance is slow.

Hi ,
I recently switched from a VM to a physical nagios server. Server setup and backup restore all went fine. I have nagios up and running on my new physical server now. I was hoping the performance of my nagios server will be super fast now, given i have a physical server with huge memory. To my surprise the GUI performance is very slow. Opening services, reloading hostgroups, enabling and disabling alerts is slow. How can i investigate more as to why my GUI performance is slow. Please help.
