Thanks for the confirmation. We're looking into this and think it is possibly related to the cache. When it is in the broken state, please gather and provide a copy of /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/components/bpi.xml
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.

Telling by changelog of version 5.5.7 it should be fixed now? I am going to test it out in few days.

Correct. This is in the changelog as:
- Fixed BPI issue with the processing of subgroups applied to multiple groups failing to set proper status [TPS#13816] -JO

Deployed new version to test environment and it seems to be working, atleast i am unable to reproduce this kind of behavior now. This topic can be closed. Thank you!
