NRPE on 64bit Linux OS

Post by ecarrasq »

System Info
Linux Distribution and version?

Linux 2.6.18-308.1.1.el5 #1 SMP Wed Mar 7 04:17:30 EST 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

32 or 64bit?

32 bit

VMware Image or Manual Install of XI?

VMware Image

Are there specials configurations on your system, ie; is Gnome installed? Are you using a proxy? Are you using SSL?

No.

Question

Is there a NRPE tar ball that works on 64bit Red Hat 6 OS? We've tried the RPM and the Tar, but they both pull down the 32bit versions. They also create repos, but we fear by adding those repos it will pull down 32bit php files.

Please let me know where I can obtain a clean NRPE tar ball that works on a 64bit Red Hat 6 OS, and if creating those repos are necessary.

Thanks you for your time,
Eddie

Thank you for your reply, but does the install pull down the 32bit versions and if so, does it work with Red Hat 6 64bit OS? They also create repos, but we fear by adding those repos it will pull down 32bit php files. How can we address this issue?

Thank you,
Eddie

The installer determines the architecture of the system and pulls down items designed for that Arch
