NXTI SNMP traps aggregation...

Post by vishfx »

Hi Nagios Team,

We have a use case with snmp traps and want to know if this is achievable using NXTI/snmptrapd/snmptt workflow.

The use case is that if CRITICAL snmp traps are recieved from 50 vm's for CRITICAL HIGH CPU utilization, can NXTI/snmptrapd/snmptt aggregate them and send out a single notification with aggregated details ?

The idea here is to minimize INCIDENT tickets creation during wider outages.
If yes, kindly share some documentation & pointers regarding the same.

Please let me know.

Regards,
Vish.

This functionality isn't available. Each vm will have it's own passive service and will send notifications per its configuration.
