Migrating and Upgrading from 5.4.4 to 5.5x & RHEL 6 to 7

Post by awilson »

Hi. We planning migration from an RHEL 6 server to an RHEL 7 server and upgrading Nagios XI from 5.4.4 to the latest 5.5.x release.
Our 5.4.4 has MySQL and PostgreSQL databases. I want to migrate to a current MySQL system. I read the backup and restore documentation. It is for restoring to the same version of Nagios XI.

I'm guessing that we would use the backup and restore methods to move to RHEL 7. Is there a path for moving to the consolidated MySQL platform?

Thanks!

We have a KB article on converting PostgreSQL to MySQL for Nagios XI here:

Hope this helps.
