License Exceeded

Post by eliassal »

Hi, I am trying to test Nagios, downloaded and used a wizard to discover my machines which it did, it discovered 16. I ran the monitoring wizard and limited it to only 7 machines as indicated that it is free in the FAQ page for small environments with less than 7 nodes but clicking on Reports or Dashboards, still getting

License Exceeded

It sounds like you have switched to the free version which includes only 7 nodes, vs. the trial version which has full functionality for 60 days.

When did you install this?

What is selected on the Admin -> License Information ?

HI,
License Type: Free (Limited edition without support)
Your License Key: FREE
Number of Licensed Hosts: 7
Current Hosts: 17

As I indicated, I ran the discovery wizard, it found 17 hosts but I configured only 7 to be monitored.
OK, how can I (where in the interface) to remove the other 10 hosts?

Thanks

I reseolved the issues and now message disappeared. However, I added a MSSQL server to monitor and nagiosxi is not able to read anything.

I went to Service Management, I did a "Test Check Command", getting the following error:
COMMAND: /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_mssql_server.py -H 192.168.1.69 -U 'salam\\mylogin' -P 'my\*passord' -p 1433 --time2connect --warning 10 --critical 20
OUTPUT: DB-Lib error message 20002, severity 9:
Adaptive Server connection failed
I will open a new thread for this
