Device in Long Fixed Scheduled Downtime - Hide Alert
Device in Long Fixed Scheduled Downtime - Hide Alert
We have a network switch for a school that is in a Fixed Scheduled Downtime from Nov 1, 2018 to June 3, 2019. This device was physically removed from it's location for the winter months because we didn't want it to stay out in the cold weather. The issue we have is it still shows in our alerts (operations screes) as being down and it will be this way until it is plugged back in. We do not want to remove the device from Nagios and then have to set it up again in June. Is there a way to hide the alert so that it's not a nuisance for the next few months?

You can simply deactivate the device (the host) under the CCM, then re-activate it again when needed.
Note: You will need to deactivate the services, added to this host first, and check to make sure that there are no other dependencies.
