Issue following updates previous day

Post by daviddief »

Hi,

Currently running the XI vm appliance CentOS Linux 7 Kernel 3.310.0-862-11.6.e17.x86_64

Ran the update process yesterday afternoon from the XI admin web page and all finished just fine. Able to use XI and it kept all information with no issues that I can find. Only problem is that the AutoDiscovery jobs come back with no service information for anything. Even if I run one with all hosts it shows nothing for hosts it already has monitored. I will get services returned for the gateway router but every other IP under it shows no services found.

***Only thing that may be different is that I have to proxy off my laptop for it to poll for updates since it is in a secure zone

Not sure why. Here is a start to what you may need:

First, force one of them to run that you are having issues with.

Then PM me a copy of your profile, you can download it from Admin > System Profile > Download Profile.

Additionally, please check your /var/log/cron and see if you are seeing any related error messages.

Send this file as well:

Code: Select all

/var/spool/cron/apache

This may be a bug, another tech here reported that he has the same issue.

Do you remember what version you upgraded from?

not exactly, is there a way i can look in a log or something to get you a good answer?

I pulled the ovf about 9 months back and did one minor update prior to this last one if i remember correctly. Is it possible for me to roll back?

This was a bug introduced in XI 5.5.7, please take the attached file, unzip it, and then replace the file below:

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/components/autodiscovery/scripts/autodiscover_new.php
Then re-run your jobs to make sure it picks up the services.
autodiscover_new.zip
Edit: This is scheduled to be released in XI 5.5.8 soon.
