Subnets represented on Map?

Post by virtualuk »

Is there a way to show that hosts on a particular subnet reached via a switch (defined within the switch configuration) hang off of that switch rather than directly off of the Nagios process in the Map view in core?

It can be done using the parents directive when defining hosts. Define the switch as the parent of these hosts and the map will reflect this.

Great, thanks for the response, cdienger, much appreciated. I gave it a try after your suggestion and it works great with the exception of nagios process being connected in some odd ways. I'll take a look at nagvis to see if that can be a more elegant solution.
