NRPE Installation Using source

Post by Johnsmit »

Hello,

i am trying to Install NRPE in an offline environment, when i checked knowledge center, i saw the latest release for NRPE agent dated linux-nrpe-agent.tar.gz 14-Nov-2018 13:29 3.4M, where as offline is dated linux-nrpe-agent-offline.tar.gz 11-Dec-2013 16:38, 7.2M which is a 5 yrs old one. are they both the same or different? if so where can i find the latest version of Nrpe Offline Install tar ball.

Thanks,

Hello, @Johnsmit. Nagios currently discontinued supporting offline tarballs for the NRPE. However, many users are still compiling custom nrpe builds and posting them on the internet. Another option is to manually install packages required by the source installer on the offline server and then run the installation script.
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.
