Jan Win 10 Patches breaks Nagios XI in Edge

Post by rseiwert »

After applying Jan 2019 Windows updates and restarting Nagios XI does not load in Edge. Currently running 5.2.9. I'm curious if updating will solve this or is this an issue in in the current release. Site still works OK in Chrome.

Hello, @rseiwert. Unfortunately, I don't have the Edge browser in the lab. Have you tried looking at the developers' console for any errors? Is the Nagios web interface displaying as a blank page? Or some elements are missing? Can you take a screenshot of the page and upload it here?

I know I already have issues with Safari on iOS so I assume you also don't have that in the lab but I'm surprised that Windows 10 is not represented in your lab.

So going to http://nagios.vcaglobal.com nothing loads in the browser, just a message that it stops responding. Nagios XI was working, applied updates, and then would not load in Edge. I do need to check other computers / combinations.

I do get errors in the windows event log whenever I open Nagios.

The program MicrosoftEdgeCP.exe version 11.0.17134.523 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

I finally setup another machine and checked and the problem appears to local to my machine and only the Nagios site. Feel free to close this.
