Nagios soft and hard state

Post by atsb »

Hello!

About nagios XI environment
1) Linux Distribution and version? Centos7
2) 32 or 64bit? 64bit
3) VMware Image or Manual Install of XI? Manual install
4) Are there special configurations on your system, ie; is Gnome installed? Are you using a proxy? Are you using SSL? SSL
5) NagiosXI version: 5.5.8

I have a service that stays in SOFT state but by my logic it should go into HARD state, the problem is while it stays in SOFT state it does not notify users about this problem.
Picture of this service settings:

Picture of eventlogs:

Note! if it makes any difference, this service is also in service dependency. All other services are working fine but this particular has problems and i am unable to find why its acting like this.

Thank you!

Hello @atsb,

Thank you for reporting this to us. We're aware of this issue, and we hope to have a maintenance release out later this week with an update to Nagios Core 4.4.3.

You can find more information on the Nagios Core changelog, or let me know if you have any questions.
