Hello support,
Is there a way that we can have a daily email, at a specific time, that shows outstanding service problems? Our on call staff looks at alerts but sometimes it's difficult to match up up/downs on a mobile device. If at say 6am we get a report/email that shows "these service problems exist" it would be helpful. our support staff wouldn't have to login to the VPN and systems to verify the status of what's up/down. They could see it in a quick glance in an email.
I looked at the reports and all of these were "too noisy" for this particular task. I looked at the postgres DB and I couldn't find where these are(easily) stored. I look at the filters in place on our services dashlets, but I couldn't find a way to modify the existing reports to fit these filter criteria, or to add my own report.
Thanks

Re: daily notifications email
Hello @rzietlow,
The best option right now would be using the scheduled reporting feature as this can be sent daily at a specific time. The state history report can provide a list of host or services needing service.

I looked at this, but it provides a "history" and people will still have to match it up, unless I am missing something.
If run a period of "today" limit to hosts, hostgroup, service group" Type of "Both" state type "hard" state "Any" this includes all the alerts from today, which is just a single "OK" (which I verified is true),
if I look at "past 24 hours" it's both down and ups. if I tell it just to give me critical alerts we see a "down" that was seen yesterday but it doesn't show the corresponding "up" alert that came in a few minutes later. Also appears I need to seems to need to run 2 reports, one with service warnings and one with service critical.
even if its' just a way to export the current "service problems" in an email that'd be exactly what we would want.

Hi @rzietlow,
Currently, reports and scheduled reporting is based upon host or service history, and cannot be set to run at a specific time during a time period. I can submit a feature request on your behalf if you'd like. Please keep in mind that the decision to implement an enhancement is at the discretion of our development team.Is there a way that we can have a daily email, at a specific time, that shows outstanding service problems?
