Snapshots and Maintenance Question

Hello There,

On our NLS, we have Snapshots & Maintenance is set to store snapshots to repository and delete anything older than 7years.

But when I check on the repository location, looks like the last snapshot stored was in July-2018 and nothing after that.

How and where can I see what is wrong and why the snapshots are not stored to the repository. I validated the permissions and they are as suggested in the "Managing Snapshots and Maintenance" document.

When you go to Managing Snapshots and Maintenance does it load a list of current snapshots?

If you go to Admin -> Command Subsystem what is the status of the snapshots_maintenance job?

Hello Scott,

I am not seeing anything under Archives Snapshots and snapshots_maintenance job status is "Waiting" and last run status is "SUCCESS"

Is the path /audit_archive available and writable by the nagios user on all instances?

This command run back up for the current available indices and does not delete any old indices already backed up in repository, right?

Also, why does nothing show up under "Archives Snapshots"? Aren't the snapshots stored in Repository should be displayed under it?

The command will not delete any of the old indices.

That said, I believe I see the problem:
-rw-r----- 1 nagios nagios 0 Jul 26 18:47 snapshot-curator-20180726182831
The file is 0 bytes in size indicating a problem occurred with that snapshot which can cause the repo to appear empty. This file should be manually deleted.
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.
