Managing Notification Intervals

I was a little too aggressive with my notification intervals when setting up a lot of hosts/services. In efforts to correct this I reconfigured my (new) preferred interval at the host level, although the service setting seems to supersede the host level setting (which certainly makes sense). Is there a more easy way to remove the notification interval setting from all services or will I have to touch every service and clear the value?

Also, is there a good configuration reference for host and services (service mgmt settings)? I have viewed the Admin Guide and Wiki, but didn’t find information like this (common, check, alert settings).
