What is the best way to tell Nagios XI (in the service alert settings) to not send an email/text notification until a service is in a warning/critical state for a certain number of checks?
Also, is there a document that explains what each of the service alert settings fields means and is used for?
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Object Definitions
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ml#service
The setting for max check attempts will define the number of times will retry the host or service if it returns anything other than an ok state. These settings can be configured in the CCM by going to Configure > Advanced Configuration > Monitorng > Services
Let me know if you have any other questions.
All of the host and service definitions are explained in detail in the Nagios Core documentation. Also, is there a document that explains what each of the service alert settings fields means and is used for?
