When did you upgrade to XI 5.5.9 exactly? Do you remember if you did it through the web interface or through the command line?

What version were you at before?

The reason I ask is because this bug should have been fixed in XI 5.5.7, the counter issue should have been fixed in XI 5.5.6 I think, but in order for the bug to be fixed the service needed to recover to reset the counter then the bug would be fixed going forward.

Have you seen this occur with any of them after the 20th?

I want to say it was before/around our second call to you guys. I'm pretty sure that it was 5.5.9 on the 20th. I don't remember exactly when I upgraded. Is there a log where I can see that? I was on 5.5.3 before our first call & I upgraded before our second call, it might have been to a previous version. I just remember I upgraded to the latest version [at that time] before our call with you guys.

always through the command line.
wget -O upgrade.sh https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/upgrade.sh
sh ./upgrade.sh

It'll take me a minute to ascertain whether any of them are sending rtn without critical, but prima facie no.

Here's the current behavior - cap-annex appears to be having some problems, but that's good for testing. It looks like it went check1: soft - critical; check2 hard - critical (check 1 of 2); then unknown, then ok. This didn't send out any notification. That's the correct behavior right? Had it made it hard - critical (check 2 of 2) then it would have sent a notification right?

Can you do a remote session?

If you're able, please create a ticket for this and include a link back to this forum thread so we can get a remote session setup:

Hi,

Management wants to know if this counts against our 10-call support contract.

Thanks,
Max

The 10-call count is not affected because we're not using a call for it, it's just a remote session.

Phone support is where you call in and a tech (one of us) answers for immediate support.
