I am referring to https://www.nagios.com/products/nagios-core/#benefits regarding proactive planning. Are there any examples or tutorials/guides to set it up on Nagios Core 4.4.3?

Planning and analysis of your network infrastructure is achieved through the reporting and visualization tools in Nagios. Besides reports on availability and trends Nagios Core, you can also collect performance data from monitoring plugins for analysis.
