ERROR: Alarm signal (Nagios time-out)

Hello,

Now a days i am frequently receiving this timed out error from one of the network device for memory utilization .

i never see this kind of error before few months back .i have increased timed out value in my nagios command definition but still i am getting same error .

I am using default plugin i.e. check_snmp_mem.pl

Could you please help me to resolve this issue ?

Hi @manimurugesan,

Is this sometimes occurring or always occurring? If the issue comes and goes, it's most likely due to network congestion and increasing the time out settings is helpful.

Otherwise, you may have a firewall or other condition that is blocking access to the network device.

Try testing this plugin from the command line to determine the source of the problem.
