Time periods and GMT

Post by jenstar13 »

Hi,
I failed searching for this answer, hence this question
is there a way to force a custom timeperiod to use GMT over local time, and still leave local time pointing to another time zone?

Example, local time on the nagios machine is EDT, but I want some time periods to run in GMT to match hosts overseas from us

Thank you in advance

There is the use_timezone option in nagios.cfg - https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... gmain.html, but this is global and may not be a good solution here since it sounds like you only want to apply this to some time periods. The only other option I see would be to edit the timeperiods meant to run in UTC and adjust them to account for the offset.
