Hi,
When hostgroups are defined, on the console, they appear in alphabetical order. Is there any way to list the hostgroups in another manner of our choice ?

I'm not aware of any way to change the order without modifying the source or using a different frontend, sorry.

I guess you would have to redefine your Web interface.
The way I manage those issues is having two interfaces which use different properties from the nagios configurated objects, therefore, some host with a hostname of ziehost and display_name of diehost, would naturally come in diferent positions depending on the iface.
But beware, designing an interface/dashboard to collect nagios data is an expensive task that will consume a lot of time and would probably require you to have NDOUtils properly configured, so you could use it as some kind of pool to populate your Dashboard/Iface.
My advice is for you to carefully weigh that relationship between the need of change, its cost and the success of an eventual workaround
