Report - Critical warnings and downtime

Post by psasines »

Hi all,

I need to get from Nagios a weekly report where we can see how many critical events have occurred and for how long the associated host/service was down.
Is there any report available from NagiosXI that can be customized to get this information?

Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Rodrigo

You would need to separate reports - The State History report can tell you how many critical alerts there were and the Availability report can give you an idea of how much total down time there was. To get downtime for specific hosts or services you could use the State History report again to find out when something went into CRITICAL and then OK. For both reports you could use hostgroups and/or servicegroups to group only the items you'd be interested in running a report on and then use them to limit the reports.

Hello, @psasines. I can think of two reports. We have the Availability report that will show how long a host or a service was down during some period of time(percentage). State history report will show how many times a host or a service was down during that period of time and what kind of problem occurred during each incident.
