Recurring scheduled downtime settings ...

Post by xpertech »

If hosts will be turned off after working hour(08:00-17:00) from Monday to Friday including Sat. and Sun, we tried to setup Recurring Downtime Schedule to prevent NagiosXI detect and alert, but it seems that have to setup 4 records,
1. Mon. to Thu. the Recurring Downtime start at 17:00 duration 60minx15hr=900min
2. Fri. the Recurring Downtime start at 17:00 duration 60minx7hr=420min
3. Sat. to Sun. the Recurring Downtime start at 00:00 duration 60minx24hr=14400min
4. Mon. the Recurring Downtime start at 00:00 duration 60minx8hr=480min

is there other easy way to setup that?!

Hi @xpertech,
is there other easy way to setup that?!
Scheduled downtime is typically used for temporary maintenance events. If this is not the case, have you considered using time periods? For example, you can create one time period for your schedule. Additionally, there's also the ability to create time period exclusions in Nagios.

Time periods can be created and edited in the CCM. Go to Configure > CCM > Alerting > Time Periods.
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.
