Disable notifications - Core to Nagios XI migration

I'm migrating our Core configuration to a new Nagios XI server. With all of our server agents, SNMP configs, etc. pointing to the old server's IP addresses there will be a bunch alerts on the new server. Any suggestions on how to prevent the new server from sending out email notifications during the migration?

In XI, Go to Admin -> Monitoring Engine Status
click the X next to Notifications

when you complete the migration you can turn them back on in the same location
