Good morning
I was trying this am to get hosts imported into the NCPA wizard and am running into and issue where it states. ''Configuration verification failed.
Configuration Error
An error occurred while attempting to apply your configuration to the monitoring engine. Contact your Nagios administrator if this problem persists.
I did find this thread from 2017 and have ran through some of the troubleshooting steps but noticed that the issue was ultimately resolved by unlocking a locked process. I know this is an issue we ran into when we upgraded to the most current Core.

can someone help me troubleshoot that particular step? I am still pretty new to nagios and unix.
check_ncpa.py, Version 1.1.3
NCPA wizard 2.04
thanks
Cannot import through NCPA wizard
Re: Cannot import through NCPA wizard
Can you provide us with more details? When did you see the error for the first time? Did running the NCPA wizard on a "working" system caused the error? Do you see any errors at the moment, when you use the "Config File Management" tool?

I saw it the first time today, after getting my NCPA agents talking properly i went to set up the active monitoring. As far as I know the 3 I have tested with using this wizard are all working properly. i.e. remoting to the systems and checking and making sure they are working locally.
CCM > Tools > Config File Management > Delete Files > Write Configs > Verify Files
I performed this with no issue. Should I restart the core as well?

Working on that now.

Yes, restart core or apply configuration.I performed this with no issue. Should I restart the core as well?
You already have some NCPA checks configured on your system. Are you setting up new checks (via the NCPA wizard)? Are you seeing any new errors when you run the NCPA wizard (after applying configuration)?I saw it the first time today, after getting my NCPA agents talking properly i went to set up the active monitoring. Can you elaborate on " ...and making sure they are working locally"? What did you check exactly?
Note: I saw some config errors in logs but they seemed to be old. I didn't see anything else that "stands out" - it all looked normal in the profile.

Re: Cannot import through NCPA wizard
We do not currently have NCPA machines set up, this is our first foray.
Yes we are trying to set them up via the wizard.
When i checked them on the local host I was using a browser to check on them using the token. i.e. https://localhost:5693
I did the delete, write and verify with a restart and it looks like I was able to add three machines now. I guess it was NOT a lock issue.
thanks !!!
