Nagios Xi Licensing

Post by conston_rd »

Hi,

Please clarify on the below questions about Nagios xi licensing
We have Nagios XI Enterprise License

1) We have nagios XI setup through DRBD cluster with corosync and pacemaker,a Virtual IP has been assigned to the cluster. We have applied the License by accessing the VIP nagios URL. As per the Documentation single XI license can be applied to 3 IPs. Considering the setup we have, we would like to know how our license has been utilized? or to what all IPs the license has been applied ? There are three IPs involved here IP of primary server, IP of secondary servers and Virtual IP.

2) How to get the details about the IPs that are mapped to a license

3) We are planning to migrate Nagiosxi to a new server and decommission the old server, what is the best approach to migrate the license to new nagios instance?

Nagios Version: 5.5.7
Operating system: centos 7.4

Thanks,
Conston

It seems like you are using 3 out of 3 available IPs. If you migrated to a new system (restoring an old instance of XI), you wouldn't need to reactivate your license. However, if you needed to add more IPs, you would need to contact our sales team.

You would need to do so in any case, as these are sales questions, and we don't have answers to all of them (on the support side of things). Please contact our sales department at [email protected]. They will be able to help. Thank you!
