Schedule Downtime Hostgroup

Post by hul1 »

Hi I was wondering how you can go to Scheduled Downtime and specify a host group to set a downtime for?
I would like to set an entire host group for downtime but it only lets you specify services for a host or hosts. We have a lot of hosts so doing it individually is not feasible.

Thanks,
Leonard

Hi Leonard,

Take a look at this forum post:

Scheduling downtime for a Host Group or Service Group?

This can be done from the Hostgroup Commands. Go to Home > Hostgroup Summary and select the View Houstgroup Commands icon.

Let us know if you get it working.

Hi Ben,

That works! I didn't realize that box next to the host group in host group summary was used for running commands off the entire host groups makes sense now. Instinctively you would think going to the Schedule Downtime you would be able to find an option to schedule for a host group instead of having to go to the host group to schedule one. Thanks though that resolved the issue.
