DATA Base error nagios xi

i cannot connect to my nagios gui, i get the following error

Database Error
A database connection error has been detected, please follow the repair prompt below. If the issue persists, please contact Nagios support.
Run the following from the CLI as root to attempt to repair the DB:

/usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/repair_databases.sh

i tried running the command above but it fails and when i run it again i get the error

/usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/repair_databases.lock already exists. Perhaps a repair is already in process ..aborting

i have checked and all service are running, am not sure what else to do, any help or input will be appreciated

found the solution, i noticed that nagios created another file called (repair_databases.lock) in /usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts and am guessing it was stoping the original repair script from running cuz when i deleted the file and ran the repair script again it ran and repaired my database successfully. i can now connect to Gui.
