Contact Creation for Mail Notification

Hi Team,

1. I have created a contact using Contact Management:

• CCM => Alerting => Contacts => Add New

• • Under Alert Settings:
    Manage Host Notification Commands => notify-host-by-email, also tried : xi_host_notification_handler
    Manage Service Notification Commands => notify-service-by-email, also tried : xi_service_notification_handler

2. Then I've created Contact Group & added newly created user in that contact group.
3. Selected one service & Under Service Management,

• Alert Settings => Manage Contact Groups = > Selected Newly created Contact Group

I want to send mail notification for host/service alerts in Nagios.
But i'm not getting. Please guide me, how to send mail notification to Contacts created with the help of
CCM => Alerting => Contacts => Add New

Nagios Core contacts (that are not xi users) can only use notify-host-by-email and notify-service-by-email commands. The handlers use sendmail exclusively and will not work with the XI SMTP settings. Nagios XI users and contacts are similar but not the same. See more on the topic here:

You could configure Core contacts to use the SMTP PHPMailer settings by following the steps, outlined in the document below:
