FLAPPING Messages

Hi,

I would like to completely turn of flapping start and stop messages in XI. I have made the neccessary amendments in the generic servicetemplate settings which I use for all my services however, I still contunue to receive the notifications for flapping.

Any help is appreciated.

You can set the following in /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg

Code: Select all

enable_flap_detection=0

then

Code: Select all

service nagios restart

Doh!

I also found that I could turn it off on the Monitoring Engine Status page. Very easy. It was staring me in the face.
