Monitor Expiration date of SSL cert

Post by imadc »

Hello Team

On our windows server 2012 Web servers that have NCPA agents we use certificates for functions such as SSO and client authentication.

Since these certs are not available via a browser, we need an alternate method to monitor the expiry date, so we can't use traditional commands to accomplish that like check_http or check_https or ccheck_xi_service_http_cert.

Any options you can suggest for us to accomplish this request using NagiosXI and NCPA agents?

Thanks,
Insurity

Hello Insurity,

Take a a look on the Nagios Exchange for a suitable plugin as there are a few other options that don't use HTTP but network sockets to retrieve certificate data.

Once you find a suitable plugin, you can upload it to Nagios XI and configure your checks (see reference below).
