Monitor Firewall counts in Nagios 4- using ubuntu 16.04

Hi, new to the forum. I wanted to know if it was possible to monitor firewall counts using snmp in Nagios 4. I am using Ubuntu 16.04, so far I have managed to monitor the firewall status on a windows server but, wanted to monitor specific counts on a linux box.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not entirely clear by what you mean by counts. Please clarify if the above doesn't help.
