You can try the following:

1. Click on "Host Status" link on the left menu, then right-click on the host you would like to put on the dashboard, and select "Copy link location". Paste the link in the text editor - you will need it later.

2. Do the same for each service that you would like to put on the dashboard (Service Status > <your service> > right-click > copy link > paste it in a text editor

3. Go to Dashboards menu, and add a new dashboard.

4. Click on Available Dahslets link on the left, and the "Custom URL Dashlet" to the dashboard you created in step 3. Add the dashlet few time, using different URLs (for the host and for the services) - the URLs that you obtained in step 1 and 2.

5. Rearrange the dashlets on the dashboard the way you like it.

Here's some additional information on using dashboards:

Hope this helps.

1. Right-click with the mouse on the page you like, and select: This frame > Open Frame in New Tab. Copy the URL.

2. Go to Dashboards > Add Dashlets > Available Dashlets, and add the Custom URL Dashlet to your dashboard, using the URL you copied in step 1.

I am trying to accomplish this as well, but all I get is the Host Status Detail, not the Service Status of the Host.
I must be missing something from the procedure. I also don't get a "frames" option.

I do try open link in new tab, but again, I only get the Status Detail.

I am not sure where you are clicking on the page, and what browser you are using, but in any case, you could be using a URL like this one:

Code: Select all

http://x.x.x.x/nagiosxi/includes/components/xicore/status.php?show=services&host=localhost
Note: This is just an example with "localhost". Modify the URL according to your needs.

Unbelievable. You know our NAGIOS recommended partner that we pay per service/phone call said it couldn't be done.
..and that worked.

Thank you so much.
